The Department of Technical Education (DTE) declared provisional merit list for engineering and pharmacy yesterday. The final list though will be announced on July 11, once eligible candidates are through with their applications.
The DTE has also announced that the eligibilty for engineering and pharmacy courses has been reduced to 45% marks in HSC. This has come in after approval from the state government. By lowering the minimum requirement marks, the DTE expects more students to get the opportunity to study egineering or pharmacy courses. City experts though, pointed out that this would affect the standards of technical education.
