International Business School of Management (IBSM), Mumbai, has been falsely claiming that it is affiliated to EIILM University in Sikkim. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Crime Branch arrested the director of the institute for allegedly duping the students.
Sources from the University Grants Commission (UGC) have revealed that EIILM has not been permitted to give degrees outside of Sikkim state. And thus, it cannot be that they are giving away degress in Mumbai.
IBSM is loacted at Ballard Pier, Mumbai and also has a branch at Bhandup. The EOW have arrested Surbhi Roshan (the director of the institute), Jarnail Bhuttar and Vasant Jadhav under Section 420 for cheating. Police has also recovered Rs. 27,41,040 from the two bank accounts seized.
